Alabama High School Basketball - Briarwood Christian trounced by Northridge
January 18, 2025: Tuscaloosa, AL 35406 Northridge Jaguars (Tuscaloosa, AL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL), 74-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Northridge advances its record to 18-7 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL) to meet the Stampede in a 6A Area 6 match on Friday, January 24. The Stampede enter the match with a record of 18-6. Paul W. Bryant won 77-65 in their recent non-league match against Wenonah (Birmingham, AL)
The Lions now own a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sylacauga for a 5A Area 8 match on Tuesday, January 21. Briarwood Christian will meet a Aggies squad coming off a 47-37 league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Aggies record now stands at 17-3.
