New York High School Basketball - Central Square bests South Jefferson
January 18, 2025: Adams, NY 13605 The Central Square Redhawks basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host South Jefferson Spartans to 42 in the Redhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Redhawks now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Auburn for a Section 3 Freedom game on Wednesday, January 22. Central Square will confront a Maroons team coming off a 51-38 non-league loss to Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY). The Maroons record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, South Jefferson falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to General Brown (Dexter, NY) to confront the Lions in a Section 3 Frontier AA/A/B/D game on Tuesday, January 21. The Lions go into the game with a record of 4-3. General Brown lost 44-33 in their recent league game against Indian River (Philadelphia, NY)
