Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) and the visiting Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX), saw Roma's basketball squad knock off Juarez-Lincoln by a tally of 56-40.

With the victory, Roma improves its record to 3-17 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Nixon (Laredo, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 18-9. Nixon won 72-52 in their recent league challenge against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)

Next up, the Huskies play the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Juarez-Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 2-26 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 17-12 record after their 72-52 league loss to Nixon (Laredo, TX).
