North Carolina High School Basketball - Myers Park overwhelms South Mecklenburg

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) and the host South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), saw Myers Park's basketball squad wallop South Mecklenburg by a count of 68-40.

With the victory, Myers Park upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Berry (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cardinal in a 4A South Meck challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Cardinal come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Berry won 49-48 in their recent league challenge against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Sabres play the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A South Meck challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 77-63 league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC).
