In Thursday's non-league test, the Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), by a score of 48-30.

Next, the Raiders encounter the Van Bulldogs (Van, WV) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 0-4 record after their 55-41 non-league loss to Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV).
