The Desert Ridge Jaguars basketball squad (Mesa, AZ), was nudged 48-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ)

With the victory, Ironwood Ridge advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon, AZ) to meet the Phantoms in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 2. The Phantoms enter the battle with a record of 3-4. Grand Canyon lost 54-39 in their recent non-league battle against El Capitan (Colorado City, AZ)
