Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the visiting Carson Senators (Carson City, NV), saw Spanish Springs's basketball squad wallop Carson by a tally of 64-26.

With the victory, Spanish Springs improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV) to confront the Mustangs in a 5A Northern challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 9-11. Damonte Ranch lost 62-43 in their recent league outing against Douglas (Minden, NV)

The Senators now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Galena for a 5A Northern outing on Tuesday, January 24. Carson will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 66-52 non-league loss to Truckee (Truckee, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-13.
