Iowa High School Basketball - Lincoln nudges Gretna

January 20, 2025: Council Bluffs, IA 51503

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA) and the visiting Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE), observed Lincoln's basketball team edge Gretna by a score of 50-46.

The Lynx (11-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA). The Wolverines come into the Missouri River challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Sioux City West was tipped by Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA), 73-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons encounter the Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Gretna will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 60-56 non-league win over McCook (McCook, NE).
