In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Parkland Mustangs basketball team scored a close 56-53 win over the Salisbury Hornets.

The Mustangs (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Camels come into the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Atkins was tipped by Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC), 59-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Salisbury will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record.
