Virginia High School Basketball - Phoebus bested by Petersburg
January 20, 2025: Hampton, VA 23663 Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), 42-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Petersburg advances its record to 7-5 on the year. The Crimson Wave host Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Friday, January 24. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-8.
The Phantoms now own a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage for a Peninsula match on Tuesday, January 28.
