With the victory, Clay County advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to meet the Jaguars in a District 49 battle on Friday, January 24. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 15-0. North Laurel won 70-65 in their recent non-league battle against West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY)
The Bobcats now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Menifee County for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 23. Breathitt County will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 50-43 non-league loss to Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-5.
