Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Century Centurions (Ullin, IL), 45-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Vienna (Vienna, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 18-6. Vienna won 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against Herrin (Herrin, IL)

Next up, the Centurions play the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers (Joppa, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Century will attempt to upgrade on its 17-3 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 68-18 league loss to Meridian (Mounds, IL).
