The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) basketball edged the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 49-48 in Thursday's league bout.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Parkwood for a 2A/3A Rocky River bout on Friday, January 24. Forest Hills will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 60-50 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 4-12.
