Florida High School Basketball - Foundation Academy holds off The First Academy

January 23, 2025: Winter Garden, FL 34787

The Foundation Academy Lions basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting The First Academy Royals to 76 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 14-6 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Fe Catholic for a 2A District 5 game on Friday, January 24. Foundation Academy will confront a Hawks team coming off a 84-42 non-league win over Winter Haven (Winter Haven, FL). The Hawks record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, The First Academy falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Royals travel to North Tampa Christian Academy (Wesley Chapel, FL) to confront the Titans in a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. The Titans go into the game with a record of 16-6. North Tampa Christian Academy won 54-42 in their recent non-league game against Miramar (Miramar, FL)
