North Carolina High School Basketball - East Rowan can't hold off Northwest Cabarrus

January 23, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), 54-50 in a league match.

With the victory, Northwest Cabarrus upgrades its record to 14-3 on the year. The Trojans host South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to face the Raiders in a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 28. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 6-10.

The Mustangs now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a 3A South Piedmont match on Friday, January 24. East Rowan will face a Vikings squad coming off a 45-40 league win over Carson (China Grove, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-10.
