Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 57-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Titans host West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Lions in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout on Friday, January 27. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 11-8. West Charlotte won 63-22 in their recent league bout against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout, on Friday, January 27. Mallard Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 64-49 league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC).
