North Carolina High School Basketball - North Duplin overwhelms Hobbton
January 24, 2023: Newton Grove, NC 28366 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) and the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), saw North Duplin's basketball squad wallop Hobbton by a count of 59-30.
With the victory, North Duplin upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC) to play the Cougars in a 1A Conference 10 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Neuse Charter lost 51-49 in their recent league challenge against Union (Rose Hill, NC)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 10 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Hobbton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-16 record after their 57-25 league loss to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
