West Virginia High School Basketball - Shady Spring can't hold off Nicholas County
January 24, 2023: Shady Spring, WV 25918 The Shady Spring Tigers basketball team (Shady Spring, WV), was nudged 54-48 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV)
The Grizzlies now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Summers County for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. Nicholas County will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 61-32 league win over Bluefield (Bluefield, WV). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-4.
The Tigers (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Coal City, WV). The Patriots come into the Coalfield AA battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Independence was nudged by WestSide (Clear Fork, WV), 43-19, in a league battle.
