Texas High School Basketball - Bellevue thwarts Gold-Burg
January 24, 2025: Bowie, TX 76230 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Bellevue Eagles (Bellevue, TX) and the host Gold-Burg Bears (Bowie, TX), observed Bellevue's basketball team knock off Gold-Burg by a score of 67-53.
The Eagles (7-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Forestburg (Forestburg, TX). The Longhorns come into the 1A Region III District 18 challenge with a 17-5 record. In their last challenge, Forestburg prevailed over Prairie Valley (Nocona, TX), 70-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears encounter the Saint Jo Panthers (Saint Jo, TX) in a 1A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Gold-Burg will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-12 record after their 54-43 league loss to Midway (Henrietta, TX).
