Texas High School Basketball - Borden County knocks off Sands

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) and the host Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX), observed Borden County's basketball team overcome Sands by a score of 60-45.

The Coyotes (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars come into the 1A Region I District 6 challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Klondike defeated Loop (Loop, TX), 66-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Grady Wildcats (Lenorah, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Sands will attempt to improve on its 18-6 season record.
