Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC), 60-57 in a league match.

With the victory, Carson advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Cougars host East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to meet the Mustangs in a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 28. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 1-16.

The Falcons now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robinson for a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 28. West Rowan will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 69-64 league win over Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-2.
