East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles (Mesa, AZ) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Heritage Academy Heroes (Maricopa, AZ), 59-44 in a league match.

With the victory, East Valley Athletes for Christ advances its record to 16-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to ASU Prep Poly (Mesa, AZ) to face the in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The enter the match with a record of 2-11.

The Heroes now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way for a non-league match on Monday, January 27. Heritage Academy will face a squad coming off a 87-64 non-league win over Premier Prep- PHHoenix (Tucson, AZ). The record now stands at 19-2.
