Texas High School Basketball - Southlake Carroll holds off Northwest

In Friday's league contest, the host Southlake Carroll Dragons basketball team scored a close 40-37 triumph over the Northwest Texans.

The Dragons (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bell (Hurst, TX). The Blue Raiders go into the 6A Region I District 4 contest with a 19-8 record. In their last contest, Bell nipped Keller Central (Keller, TX), 85-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Texans confront the Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) in a 6A Region I District 4 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Northwest will attempt to better on its 2-24 season record. The Bobcat go into the contest with a 19-9 record after their 49-46 league loss to V.R. Eaton (Fort Worth, TX).
