January 24, 2025: Nowata, OK 74048 Nowata Ironmen (Nowata, OK) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Salina Wildcats (Salina, OK), 51-47 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Nowata advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Ironmen host Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK) to face the Cougars in a Northeast Valley match on Saturday, January 25. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 9-6. Oklahoma Union won 51-47 in their recent non-league match against Chouteau-Mazie (Chouteau, OK)
The Wildcats now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chouteau-Mazie for a Five Lakes match on Saturday, January 25. Salina will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 51-47 non-league loss to Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-11.
