In Friday's league contest, the host Bishop O'Connell Knights basketball team scored a good 64-55 win over the St. Mary's Ryken Knights.

The Knights (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets come into the Washington Catholic contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, St. John's defeated Longwood Prep Academy (Bronx, NY), 88-22, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) in a VISAA Division I contest, on Sunday, January 26. St. Mary's Ryken will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 14-5 record after their 73-59 league win over Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD).
