The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) and the visiting West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA), observed University Prep's basketball team edge West Valley by a score of 46-40.

The Panthers (17-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Foothill was tipped by Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA), 87-47, in a league challenge.
