Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant over Roanoke Catholic

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA), saw New Covenant's basketball squad overcome Roanoke Catholic by a tally of 74-57.

With the victory, New Covenant improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Gryphons travel to Veritas School (Richmond, VA) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Veritas School lost 67-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Tandem Friends (Charlottesville, VA)

Next up, the Celtics confront the Life Christian Academy Eagles (Chester, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 68-47 non-league loss to Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA).
