Lanham Christian Lions (Lanham, MD) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Evergreen Christian Eagles (Leesburg, VA), 65-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Lanham Christian advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Lions host Calverton (Huntingtown, MD) to face the in a Maryland Independent match on Tuesday, January 28. The enter the match with a record of 4-9. Calverton won 91-17 in their recent non-league match against International High School at Largo (Largo, MD)

The Eagles now own a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covenant Christian Academy for a Northern Virginia match on Monday, January 27. Evergreen Christian will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 45-37 non-league win over Chelsea Academy (Front Royal, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 6-4.
