Maine High School Basketball - Caribou thwarts Mount Desert Island
January 25, 2025: Caribou, ME 04736 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) and the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), observed Caribou's basketball team knock off Mount Desert Island by a score of 64-51.
The Vikings (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Houlton (Houlton, ME). The Shiretowners come into the B North challenge with a 0-9 record.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) in a B North challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Mount Desert Island will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Ponies come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 31-30 league loss to Hermon (Hermon, ME).
