California High School Basketball - Grant bests University

January 25, 2025: Van Nuys, CA 91401

The Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) basketball toppled the visiting University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA), 28-16 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lancers now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Chavez for a East Valley bout on Monday, January 27. Grant will play a Eagles team coming off a 46-40 league loss to Poly (Sun Valley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, University falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Lions in a Western bout on Monday, January 27. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Fairfax won 58-44 in their recent league bout against Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA)
