January 26, 2023: Ijamsville, MD 21754 In Thursday's non-league bout, the Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD) basketball squad edged the visiting Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD), by a count of 71-66.
With the win, Urbana upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Hawks host North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to play the Hubs in a CMC bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Hubs go into the bout with a record of 7-9. North Hagerstown won 62-54 in their recent league bout against Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD)
Next up, the Lions play the Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD) in a Carroll County bout, on Friday, January 27. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 55-53 league loss to Century (Sykesville, MD).
