In Thursday's league match, the host Moreno Valley Vikings basketball team scored a decisive 62-39 triumph over the Heritage Patriots.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Valley View Eagles (Moreno Valley, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 27. Moreno Valley will attempt to better on its 18-7 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 17-8 record after their 62-54 league loss to Poly (Riverside, CA).
