The Rensselaer Central Bombers basketball team scored 73 points and held the host North Newton Spartans to 59 in the Bombers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bombers now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hebron for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Rensselaer Central will battle a Hawks team coming off a 46-37 non-league win over Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 14-1.

The Spartans (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-County (Wolcott, IN). The Cavaliers enter the Midwest contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Tri-County ran past Caston (Fulton, IN), 65-58, in a non-league contest.
