North Carolina High School Basketball - Apex Friendship can't hold off Holly Springs

The Holly Springs Golden Hawks basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Apex Friendship Patriots to 59 in the Golden Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Hawks now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Green Hope for a 4A Southeast Wake contest on Tuesday, January 30. Holly Springs will battle a Falcons team coming off a 57-42 league loss to Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 7-7.

The Patriots (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars enter the 4A Southeast Wake contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Apex was nudged by Green Level (Cary, NC), 67-36, in a league contest.
