The Del Valle Conquistadores basketball team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Parkland Matadors to 27 in the Conquistadores league victory on Friday.

The Conquistadores now sport a 14-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanks for a 5A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Del Valle will battle a Knights team coming off a 49-14 league win over Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Knights record now stands at 19-11.

The Matadors (4-20) will now prepare for their contest against Bel Air (El Paso, TX). The Highlanders come into the 5A Region I District 2 contest with a 21-4 record. In their last contest, Bel Air edged Ysleta (El Paso, TX), 55-19, in a league contest.
