January 26, 2025: Wexford, PA 15090 The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA) and the visiting Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA), observed North Allegheny's basketball team overwhelm Canon-McMillan by a score of 45-19.
The Tigers (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The Foxes come into the WPIAL 6A 1 challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Fox Chapel trounced Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA), 52-46, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Big Macs encounter the Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Canon-McMillan will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 68-27 league win over Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA).
