In Friday's league outing, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC), by a margin of 52-30.

The Spartans (10-10) will now prepare for their outing against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers go into the 4A Conference 58 outing with a 15-5 record. In their last outing, Piedmont smashed Weddington (Matthews, NC), 66-51, in a league outing.
