In Saturday's league match, the host Morgan Township Cherokees basketball team scored a good 56-36 triumph over the Westville Blackhawks.

In their next game, the Cherokees meet the Tri-Township Tigers (LaCrosse, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 30. Morgan Township will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 21-1 record after their 53-45 non-league win over Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN).
