In Monday's non-league contest, the host The First Academy Royals basketball team scored a close 73-68 triumph over the Osceola Kowboys.

The Royals (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Leesburg Christian Prep (Leesburg, FL). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record.

In their next game, the Kowboys confront the Celebration Storm (Celebration, FL) in a 7A District 9 contest, on Wednesday, January 29. Osceola will attempt to better on its 18-3 season record. The Storm go into the contest with a 9-14 record after their 58-29 non-league loss to St. Cloud (St. Cloud, FL).
