In Monday's league contest, the visiting Ridgecroft Rams basketball team scored a close 40-37 triumph over the Albemarle School Colts.

The Rams (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC). The Eagles go into the NCISAA Tarheel contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Northeast Academy was tipped by Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC), 67-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Colts battle the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) in a NCISAA Tarheel contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Albemarle School will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 6-13 record after their 49-43 league win over Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC).
