The New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) basketball were winner over the visiting Tandem Friends Badgers (Charlottesville, VA), 50-39 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Gryphons now possess a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Mennonite for a VISAA Division III bout on Thursday, January 30. New Covenant will play a Flames team coming off a 80-66 non-league win over Shenandoah Valley Academy (New Market, VA). The Flames record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Tandem Friends falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Badgers host Quantico (Quantico, VA) to play the Warriors in a Greater Piedmont bout on Thursday, January 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Quantico lost 66-25 in their recent league bout against Wakefield School (The Plains, VA)
