January 28, 2025: Galliano, LA 70354 South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), 80-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Lafourche advances its record to 18-7 on the year. The Tarpons travel to South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA) to face the Gators in a 4A District 8 match on Friday, January 31. The Gators enter the match with a record of 12-14.
The Hurricanes now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklinton for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. South Plaquemines will face a Demons squad coming off a 61-45 non-league win over Independence (Independence, LA). The Demons record now stands at 14-12.
