The Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) basketball were winner over the host Clemens Buffaloes (Schertz, TX), 54-41 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 17-14 record. They play next when they host East Central for a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, January 31. Canyon will play a Hornets team coming off a 62-30 league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 17-16.

With the loss, Clemens falls to 4-24 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Johnson (Buda, TX) to play the Jaguars in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, January 31. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 6-20. Johnson lost 42-40 in their recent league bout against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX)
