California High School Basketball - Canyon overwhelms Golden Valley

January 28, 2025: Santa Clarita, CA 91321

The Canyon Cowboys basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Golden Valley Grizzlies to 40 in the Cowboys league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cowboys now have a 13-13 record. They play next when they travel to Valencia for a Foothill game on Friday, January 31. Canyon will confront a Vikings team coming off a 62-16 league win over West Ranch (Valencia, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 21-4.

With the loss, Golden Valley falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Saugus (Saugus, CA) to confront the Centurions in a Foothill game on Friday, January 31. The Centurions go into the game with a record of 15-10. Saugus lost 50-34 in their recent league game against Hart (Newhall, CA)
