Georgia High School Basketball - Lamar County holds off Putnam County

January 28, 2025: Barnesville, GA 30204

The Lamar County Trojans basketball squad scored 61 points and held the visiting Putnam County War Eagles to 55 in the Trojans league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, Lamar County advances its record to 16-4 on the year. The Trojans host Jasper County (Monticello, GA) to face the Hurricanes in a A D1 Region 4 match on Wednesday, January 29. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 11-8. Jasper County won 64-57 in their recent league match against Social Circle (Social Circle, GA)

The War Eagles now own a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jasper County for a A D1 Region 4 match on Friday, January 31. Putnam County will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 65-42 league loss to Lamar County (Barnesville, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-9.
