Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM), 54-30 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Vega advances its record to 18-7 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Gruver (Gruver, TX) to face the Greyhounds in a 2A Region I District 1 match on Friday, January 31. The Greyhounds enter the match with a record of 14-16. Gruver lost 60-39 in their recent league match against Stratford (Stratford, TX)

The Longhorns now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Texico for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. Logan will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 69-10 league win over Hagerman (Hagerman, NM). The Wolverines record now stands at 10-4.
