January 28, 2025: Mounds, IL 62964 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL) and the host Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), observed Vienna's basketball team overwhelm Meridian by a score of 77-23.
The Eagles (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Terriers come into the non-league challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Carbondale was routed by Nashville (Nashville, IL), 65-23, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bobcats encounter the Century Centurions (Ullin, IL) in a South Egyptian challenge, on Monday, February 3. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Centurions come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 38-35 league loss to Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).
