California High School Basketball - South thwarts Torrance
January 28, 2025: Torrance, CA 90505 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Spartans (Torrance, CA) and the visiting Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA), observed South's basketball team knock off Torrance by a score of 57-43.
The Spartans (16-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Cerritos (Cerritos, CA). The Dons come into the non-league challenge with a 10-15 record. In their last challenge, Cerritos prevailed over Artesia (Lakewood, CA), 66-30, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tartars battle the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves (El Segundo, CA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Friday, January 31. Torrance will attempt to improve on its 15-11 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 4-20 record after their 54-31 league loss to Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA).
