South Dakota High School Basketball - Gayville-Volin nips Mitchell Christian
January 29, 2024: Mitchell, SD 57301 Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles (Mitchell, SD), 54-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gayville-Volin upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Raiders host Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Tripp-Delmont/Armour won 41-39 in their recent league bout against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Rutland (Ramona, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Mitchell Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Rutland go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 68-31 non-league loss to Howard (Howard, SD).
