Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant crushes Chelsea Academy

January 29, 2024: Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chelsea Academy Knights (Front Royal, VA), 61-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, The Covenant upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA) to play the Turtles in a VISAA Blue Ridge bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Turtles come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Chatham Hall lost 68-18 in their recent league bout against Carlisle (Axton, VA)

Next up, the Knights play the Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) in a VISAA Division II bout, on Friday, February 2. Chelsea Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 51-26 non-league win over High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC).
